Contestants Wrap-Up Activities
at the 2008 WJHFR in Gallup, New Mexico

Gallup, NM - Saddles were won, buckles were presented, and scholarships were awarded as the 4th Annual Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo concluded on July 5th at Red Rock Park in Gallup, New Mexico. A total of 873 contestants from 39 U.S. states, five Canadian provinces, and Australia competed in this year’s Finals. Performances were featured throughout the week of June 30th, with the top twenty athletes in each event qualifying for the championship round on Saturday, July 5th. Event champions and All-Around winners include:

All-Around Cowboy: Blane Cox - Thorndale, TX

The state of Oklahoma captured top team honors for this year, with Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Louisiana rounding out the top five.
